Discipline, work and passion are the characteristics that meet Edgar Salazar, a young photographer Ourensano specialized in alternative photographic processes. His passion for photography begins when he was 3 years old, his father helped him to take his first photographs with his old Canon camera.

It is curious how the action of pressing a button can be so engaging, since then Edgar's life has been ruled by photography.

He began his studies in Art Photography in 2010 at the EASD Antonio Failde in Ourense, where he acquired the necessary preparation to develop his career as a photographer.

In 2013 after finishing her studies, her career is focused on the commercial field, making catalogs for different fashion brands, and at the same time her artistic adventure continues shooting on a medium format reel with a Bronica Etrsi.

Tran several years with this routine decided in 2015 to undertake an adventure in which he will fulfill one of his dreams, learn the old photographic procedures of the nineteenth century, and moves to Vitoria-Gasteiz where the hand of various teachers and artisans of the photography, learn different photographic processes and investigate their stories to understand these processes.

It is not until the year 2017 when his work in film truly bears its fruit won the Anologue Photography Awards, exhibiting one of his works collectively in the Bartcelona Art Gallery directed by David Pujado based in Belgrade, Serbia.

Currently Edgar works as an artistic photographer with these procedures and is a teacher teaching his knowledge to the different people who want to learn the beautiful and little-known photographic processes of the 19th century.
